Encouraging Socializing

Our Approach
to social skills
During our 6-week social skills groups, children are engage in learning new skills and fostering new friendships. Groups focus on learning through play. Children at play are uniquely equiped to partake in the joy and practice of social communication, such as: taking turns, making eye contact, using gestures and body language, labeling actions and objects, opportunities for repeated language practice, attending to other players, problem solving, and conflict resolution. We are also supporting the children in finding common ground, developing conversational
skills, forming positive relationships and much more. We have something for all age groups.

"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
